Who you are dealing with

Jackson Voice Studio is the trading name of Daniel Jackson, a sole proprietor based in Folsom, California. Lessons are taught by Daniel Jackson and by vocal coaches working with the studio. Scheduling, billing and payment are handled through this site.

Where these terms say "we" or "the studio" they mean Jackson Voice Studio. Where they say "you" they mean the student, and the parent or guardian who signs for a student under 18.

What we provide

Private singing and voice lessons. A lesson is 30 minutes and costs $65. Longer lessons are booked as consecutive 30-minute blocks and priced accordingly.

Lessons may be taken in person or online. The two are treated identically for attendance, billing and cancellation.

Payment

All lesson payments are collected in advance. Payment is due when lessons are scheduled, and no lesson is placed on the calendar until payment has been received. Students with regular recurring lessons must keep a positive balance on their account — for most students this means payment falls due on the last lesson of a four-lesson package.

We accept Venmo, PayPal, card, cash, check, online card payment and charter-school payment vouchers. Checks are payable to Daniel Jackson.

Each student has a permanent statement link showing their transactions and current balance. The link is opened with the last four digits of the phone number the studio messages you on. From there you can pay your balance, prepay a block of lessons, or enter an amount of your own, and you can tell us about a payment you have already made. Paying hands you to PayPal, where card, PayPal, Venmo and bank transfer are all available. The balance is calculated when the page is opened, so the figure is always current.

Card details are never entered into or stored by this site. They are handled by PayPal under PayPal's own terms.

Attendance, cancellations and refunds

Lessons must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance, a lesson not attended within 15 minutes of its start time is a missed lesson, and no cash refunds are given. Students under 18

A parent or guardian registers the student, agrees to these terms on the student's behalf, and is responsible for payment. Studio messages about scheduling and billing go to the contact the parent or guardian gives us.

Text messages

Registering opts you in to scheduling, studio notification, studio communication and marketing text messages from Jackson Voice Studio. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. How we handle your messages is described in the Privacy Policy.

Your records

You may request a copy of your registration agreement, the lessons you have taken or the payments you have made at any time by emailing Dan@jacksonvoice.com. Please allow 48 hours for processing.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version published here is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
